My wife and daughter are both in the local community theater production of "The Wizard of Oz". A few weeks into rehearsals, the production found themselves short of Winkie soldiers. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a Winkie is (as was I), the Winkies are the castle guards of the Wicked Witch of the West. At first, the production had a height requirement if you wanted to be a Winkie, but as with real life soldier recruiting, they relaxed their requirements to fulfill their quotas.
My son signed up because he saw that the Winkie soldiers got to use these really cool staves. So now, my son is a Winkie, and I couldn't be prouder.
